Who are we?
Alec Bergsma is a journalist and a driven communications strategist. Before launching Reach, Alec was a manager and board member at a number of well-known communications agencies, including MPG (formerly MediaPartners Group) and Head Office NL (formerly Hemels). In addition, he was a co-founder and board member of professional and sectoral organisations, such as the Chair of Content Marketing, Smin and Platform Content.
With his teams, Alec has received a large number of specialist awards for print-based and online communications concepts, including awards for Mercedes Magazine from Mercedes-Benz, Allerhande for the Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn, Heineken Horizon for Heineken International, Holland Herald for KLM and Jij&UWV for the Netherlands Employee Insurance Agency (UWV).
Peter van Kessel is a strategist and Reach's creative director. He specialises in activation. He was an owner and co-founder of the internet agency Headland Experience Design and creative lead at RTL Concepts. After subsequently working as a self-employed consultant for a period of years, Peter then co-founded Reach.
Peter left his mark on government campaigns such as De Bob and Het Gordeldier, developed popular games for Disney, Nickelodeon and Warner Brothers and was part of a team that developed the concept underlying TV programmes such as X-Factor and The Voice of Holland. He is particularly proud of campaigns such as the Beertender for Heineken and Live like a Pro for Nivea.
What we believe
At Reach, a positive contact experience with a customer or client is the greatest moment there is. The moment that you truly engage with someone, transfer your happiness to them, teach them something or set their thoughts flowing. A series of well-planned contact opportunities creates involvement, gets people thinking and spurs them into action. They start to engage.
Strong brands always aim to stay in constant touch with their audience. That interaction is born out of a feeling of genuine commitment to the things that motivate customers, employees and other stakeholders alike. That is how relationships are built.
We are specialists in content marketing and activation. Utilising our expertise, we help companies and institutions to reach each individual member of their target group, again and again, using meaningful messages to forge the connection. By means of carefully-crafted campaigns, we make sure that neither loses sight of the other. And that approach pays dividends, as the recipients feel that the brand understands them.
How do we know this? Recipients are spurred into action by our communications. They spend time taking in the story we convey, by responding to it. Or, more significantly, by purchasing an item or sharing their experiences with others.
Stories that move people.
The road to Reach
Reach works in a creative way that is often a little idiosyncratic, especially with regard to the approach that we apply. Using a series of clear and easy-to-understand process steps, we set out to create “stories that move people”. To achieve this, we work in close collaboration with our clients.
At Reach, we help our clients carry out the full spectrum of communication and activation activities. We stand alongside them and teach them how to initiate an open dialogue with their customer base. Our area of activity is clearly defined - everything we do is centred around building and continuously strengthening the relationships between brands and their customers. This is achieved by adopting an approach that is strategic and completely independent of resources.
In that regard, it is crucial that our clients themselves are prepared to roll up their sleeves and get busy. Using our many years of experience, we help them to ensure that their staffing and organisation are sufficient to meet the challenges posed by an integrated content and activation strategy.
How do you initiate dialogue with the captains of industry?
How do you help risk professionals achieve an international breakthrough?
How do you get the chronically ill to embrace supportive self-care?
How do you get the most out of content marketing?
How do you create a unique identity for one of Europe’s largest paper factories?
How do you provide meaningful help to 800,000 informal caregivers of those suffering from dementia?
Would you like to get to know us? If so, why not call Alec Bergsma (0031 65151 6467) or Peter van Kessel (0031 62649 2298), or send us a message? We look forward to meeting you.
